Mieszkam w Wrocław. My host family welcomed me at the airport with a sign and gifts, and also brought some students from my school to greet me. Then we had a small party with my host family and celebrated with cake (pictured above) and a traditional dish of pierogi. I feel very good at school because the students in my class were very welcoming and eager to help me. Now I have a good group of friends and I am very comfortable there. So far I have visited Sopot, Gdańsk, Jelenia Góra, Książ Castle and the Gross-Rosen concentration camp (I really enjoy history). Some of the interesting things I’ve done are hike to the top of a mountain to cross the border of the Czech- Republic, visited the Wroclaw christmas market, pick mushrooms in the forest with my host family, go to a music festival with my friends, and volunteer at an orphanage for Ukrainian and Polish children. I attend rotary club meetings at least once a month, sometimes I will go to 2 or 3 meetings a month.
